Field dust and the 1-inch filter
Tractor dust, a hay barn across the drive, outside air leaking in around doors. Town houses in Pearland don't deal with much of this. On acreage around Alvin it settles in the ducts, coats the coil and passes straight through the thin filter that came with the house.
