Furnace repair · Same-day · Pearland & South Houston Furnace acting up? We fix it today.

A gas furnace that will not light or keeps shutting off, or one that smells wrong, is not something to sit on. Pearland gets a handful of hard freezes most winters, and we run furnace calls through every one of them. Call before lunch and a tech is usually at your house by dinner, with the common furnace parts already in the truck.

What's included with furnace repair

A furnace repair visit with us goes in this order: diagnosis, a flat-rate written quote, the repair, then a combustion safety check before we leave.

Full diagnostic on the actual problem

The panels come off. We test the inducer motor and the hot surface igniter, then the flame sensor and gas valve, then the pressure and limit switches. Manifold gas pressure gets measured with a manometer.

Combustion safety testing, every visit

A furnace that runs hot or burns rich can push carbon monoxide into the house, and so can a cracked heat exchanger. Before we leave, a calibrated analyzer checks CO at the registers and at the flue. It is part of every gas repair at no added charge.

Flat-rate written quote before any work

You see the repair price in writing before anyone picks up a screwdriver. The diagnostic is $99 ($79 if you are new to us). Say no and that is all you pay. Say yes and it is waived.

Repair completed the same day, in most cases

Our trucks carry hot surface igniters and flame sensors, plus capacitors, blower motors, gas valves and the pressure switches that fail most. That stock is why most furnace repairs finish on the first visit.

Furnace problems we fix every winter

We see all of these from October through March in Pearland and South Houston. Book a diagnostic and the tech will tell you what failed and what the fix costs.

  • Furnace blowing cold air through the vents
  • Heat will not turn on at all
  • Short cycling, where the furnace lights, runs a minute or so, then shuts off
  • Loud bang or rumble when the furnace lights
  • Burning, sulfur, or musty smell from the vents
  • Yellow or orange burner flame
  • CO detector going off near the furnace closet
  • Pilot light or hot surface igniter not working
  • Thermostat is calling for heat but nothing happens
  • Furnace runs constantly and never reaches the set temperature
  • Strange clicking from the gas valve before it lights
  • Visible soot around the furnace cabinet or flue pipe

How a visit works

Five steps. No surprises. Same on your first call as your fiftieth.

  1. Book in 60 seconds

Online, or call 281-992-7866. Before the tech heads out, you get a text with his photo and a short bio.

  2. On-time arrival

You get a 2-hour window and a text when the truck is rolling. We keep to it during cold snaps, when the phones are busiest.

  3. Diagnose before we quote

The tech tests first and quotes second. He walks you through the readings, then writes the price, and you decide whether to go ahead.

  4. Repair and retest

Once the new part is in, the furnace runs a full heat cycle with the combustion analyzer back on the flue. We pack up when the numbers are right and the house is warming.

  5. Repair coverage

Repairs carry our 12-month parts and labor warranty. Clear Advantage members also get priority scheduling.

  • $99 Diagnostic visit ($79 for new customers), waived when you approve the repair
  • Free In-home estimates on new systems
  • Same price Nights, weekends, and holidays. No overtime fees.

Frequently asked

How much does a furnace repair cost in Pearland?

The diagnostic is $99, or $79 for new customers, and it is waived when you approve the repair. Cleaning or replacing a flame sensor is at the low end. An igniter or pressure switch lands in the middle. A gas valve, blower motor or control board costs the most. Whatever it is, the flat-rate price is in writing before any work.

Can you come out today for a no-heat call?

Yes. From October through March we hold same-day slots open every day, weekends and holidays included. After-hours calls are answered 24/7 and go to a licensed tech. If the house is below 55 degrees with no heat, we treat it as urgent.

My furnace is blowing cold air. What is wrong?

Usually one of three things. The thermostat fan may be set to ON, which runs the blower with no flame. AUTO is the setting you want. A dirty flame sensor can shut the burners off after a few seconds while the blower keeps going. Or the hot surface igniter has failed and the gas never lights. Each one is a same-day repair.

My furnace smells like something is burning. Is that dangerous?

The first time you run the heat each fall, a burning smell is usually dust cooking off the heat exchanger, and it clears in 15 to 30 minutes. If it keeps going, or you smell hot plastic or see smoke, turn the system off at the thermostat and call us. A sulfur or rotten-egg smell can mean a gas leak. Leave the house and call the gas company first.

Should I repair or replace a 15-year-old furnace?

Look at two numbers. When the unit is over 12 years old and the repair is more than half the price of a new furnace, replacing it usually makes more sense. We write up both options side by side, and you pick.

Why do you test for carbon monoxide on every gas repair?

A cracked heat exchanger or blocked flue can push CO into the living space, and so can a gas valve set wrong. You will not smell it. A calibrated combustion analyzer takes a few minutes and shows exactly what the furnace is putting out.

Do you work on heat pumps and electric furnaces too?

Yes. Plenty of Pearland homes have a heat pump with electric backup heat, and we service those too. The diagnosis is different from gas, and our heating repair page covers it.

What brands do you service?

All of them. That includes Trane and Goodman, which we install, plus Lennox, Carrier, Rheem, American Standard and the older brands you find in Pearland attics.
