Fix it again, or replace it?
Most La Marque calls start with a plain symptom on a system that still runs. A bad capacitor. A leaking Schrader valve. A clogged drain. We find the cause and fix it, and a capacitor swap is usually done in under an hour ($180 to $320).
When the system is old or the failure is structural, like a compressor on its way out or a coil corroded through, we write up the repair next to a replacement and spell out the trade-offs. A new compressor runs $1,800 to $3,500. A complete 3-ton system runs $8,900 to $21,500 depending on tier. On many of these houses a value-tier Goodman system is the sensible choice, and we'll say so.

Refinery air and dirty coils
The Texas City refineries are a few miles east. In our experience, indoor coils in La Marque get dirty noticeably faster than coils in Pearland and need professional cleaning more often. Yes. Old La Marque and Lago Mar are on the same route for us. The newer houses mostly need airflow and drain work, since their equipment is still young.
