What's included with heating services

Gas furnace repair & install
We install Trane and Goodman furnaces, from basic 80% AFUE single-stage units up to 96% AFUE variable-speed models. Sizing comes from a load calculation and a look at your venting. We repair every major brand.
Heat pump systems
A heat pump is one outdoor unit that cools in summer and heats in winter, and our winters are mild enough for it to stay efficient most nights. Dual-fuel pairs one with a gas furnace that takes over when it gets really cold.
Pre-season tune-ups
Book it for October or November. The tech checks the heat exchanger for cracks, cleans the flame sensor and tests gas pressure. He also measures blower amp draw and tests for carbon monoxide at the vents. Finding a problem in October costs less than finding it at 11 PM in January.
Emergency no-heat calls
When it is 28 degrees and the heat will not come on, call. Phones are answered 24/7, including weekends and holidays, and the price is the same at 2 AM as it is at noon.

Repair trucks are stocked for the common heating failures, and installs get a two-tech crew. On any gas system we test combustion and gas pressure, then measure CO at the registers before leaving.

Do I need a furnace or a heat pump in Pearland?
Either one works here. A heat pump runs efficiently through a Houston winter and doubles as your AC, so one outdoor box does both jobs. A gas furnace puts out more heat, faster, on the few nights that drop below freezing. Dual-fuel splits the difference: the heat pump carries the daily load and gas takes over in a hard freeze. We will price each option for your house.
How often does a furnace need maintenance?
Once a year, in the fall, before you switch the heat on. A Pearland furnace sits idle most of the year. Dust settles on the burners, the flame sensor gets coated, and mice sometimes move into the cabinet. A fall tune-up catches that before it turns into a no-heat call in January.
Is a cracked heat exchanger really dangerous?
Yes. A crack can let carbon monoxide into the air your blower moves through the house, and you cannot see or smell it. We look for cracks and run a combustion analyzer on every tune-up. If we find one, you get the photos and the CO readings, and we shut the furnace off. The fix is replacing the heat exchanger or the furnace.
What's the lifespan of a gas furnace in Houston?
Longer than you might expect. A furnace here only runs on cold days, so the burners and heat exchanger see far less use than one up north. Igniters, flame sensors and gaskets still wear with age, and an old 80% furnace burns more gas than a new one. A lot of homeowners replace for the efficiency before the old furnace actually dies.
Are heating tax credits available?
Not federal ones. The 25C heat pump credit and the 25D geothermal credit ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025. CenterPoint Energy rebates start at $200 on qualifying high-efficiency equipment, and we check what your system qualifies for when we write the quote.
Do you handle commercial heating too?
